MU-FX Octave Divider

MU-FX Octave Divider reviewsMike Beigel has a lot of cred in the effects world. As the co-founder of Musitronics (Mu-Tron) he has created some of the most imaginative guitar effects ever to lay at the feet of a musician. Perhaps his most popular pedal was the Mu-Tron III, which is considered to be one of the best envelope filters to ever hit the airwaves. His Bi-Phase is also a hard to find item in the used section fo any store. People just don’t get rid of these effects. They’re bold, their big and they deliver a tone with a quality that far surpass many of the competitors. Simply put: Mike Beigel is a name you can trust.

With that in mind, take a gander at his new MU-FX Octave Divider. They role it out in narrative form like this: “The Mu-FX Octave Divider retains all the versatility and accurate tracking of the original Musitronics Mu-tron Octave Divider pedal, but now in a “mini-Mu” housing that has the authenticity of the original in a pedal-board friendly size. It includes the same Octave Down effect and Green Ringer that made the original Octave Divider so popular with Jerry Garcia, Frank Zappa, Chris Squire, Larry Graham and others. Made in the USA with modern manufacturing techniques, the enhanced reissue offers more versatility of operating modes and features.” Like the original, only better. That’s a claim most people make when they hand out clones from other companies. In this instance it’s the co-founder reissuing a hard to find pedal with a smaller case and more options.

We’ve got a listing of the controls and specifications below, but here’s a video demo of the Octave Divider for your enjoyment. Remember, if you get close to this thing – leave a review and let us know what you think!
